Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas – The Code Green Campaign is proud to announce that they are officially a public charity that has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service, making them a federally recognized tax-exempt organization. Any donations made to The Code Green Campaign since it was incorporated April 3rd, 2014 are retroactively tax-deductible in full. The Code Green Campaign is also now eligible to apply for many grants and programs, which will broaden their access to resources and funding, strengthening their ability to fulfill their mission to bring awareness to and reduce the high rates of mental health problems in first responders.
“We are incredibly happy that our 501(c)(3) status has been granted.” said Vice-President and co-founder Kyle Norris. “This designation is vital to being recognized as a charity and ensures accountability and transparency during our continued growth. Without it our ability to serve first responders with mental health problems would be severely impaired.”
